It was about 30 years ago when my wife and I met Bob and Joyce. It was then that he shared with us his experiences and calling as a Permanent Deacon. It resulted in my becoming a deacon. Over the following years, we have had a close relationship that included trips to golf courses, many church ministries, and family gatherings. I have benefited often from his wisdom, his knowledge and his experience. His passing on to new life will leave a big hole in mine and in the lives of many others. I am especially aware of the loss his family is having at his death. Bob, may you go with God. I look forward to seeing you again.
