Robert T. "Rupert" MacLeod's Obituary
Robert T. "Rupert" MacLeod, age 86, of Clay Twp., passed away October 24, 2025 surrounded by his loving family. He was born April 5, 1939 in Ontario, Canada to the late Archibald and Sarah MacLeod.
He was Boilermaker for many years and retired from Local 169, Detroit.
Rupert enjoyed trap shooting, his annual trips to South Dakota to pheasant hunt, traveling with Judy, playing cards and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan.
He was a lifetime member of St. Clair Hunt and Fish Club and enjoyed his time there.
He is survived by his children; Susan (Joe) May and Robert (Carole) MacLeod.
He is also survived by his daughter in-law; Laura Lane, his grandchildren; Nicole (Tim) Block, Joe (Averie) May, Ronald (Shayla) Lane and Ciara (Luke) Vaughn, along with his great-grandchildren; Finley May and Roland Lane, his dear companion; Judy Stockwell, sister; Mary (Red) Gave, special niece; Carolyn Spears and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son; Steven MacLeod and his siblings; Archie MacLeod, Peggy Spears, Smitty MacLeod and Claire MacLeod.
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 8 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. with a service at 12:00 p.m. at the St. Clair Hunt and Fish Club located at 5486 Remer Rd., China Twp., MI 48054.
Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Young Funeral Home, China Twp.
