Robert W. Kerin Sr.'s Obituary
Robert W. Kerin Sr., age 85, of St. Clair, passed away September 2, 2017. He was born August 19, 1932 in Detroit. Bob and Fern were married October 29, 1955 in Grosse Pointe.
Bob honorably served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He owned and operated restaurants in Richmond, Memphis and Emmett. His working career continued at Romeo Tractor Plant, where he worked for 10 years before his retirement.
Bob was past president of the Richmond Rotary Club and also a former Mason and Shriner in Richmond. He was the first retired member of the Richmond Jaycees.
He is survived by his wife, Fern Kerin; children, Robert Kerin Jr. and Cathy (Steve) Minano; grandchildren, Adam, Vinnie (Maribell), Stefanie, Stelio (Jenny), Robert III, Kevin and Kelsey; great grandchildren, Desi, Jacob, Kelsey, Christian, Ayden, Myles, Alexis and Austin; sister, Dorothy Brooks; sisters in law, Christine and Elenora Kerin and many nieces and nephews.
Bob was predeceased by his son, Richard Kerin; granddaughter, Nancy Minano; brothers, Thomas and James Kerin and sister, Ruth VanTiem.
Funeral service will be Wednesday Sept. 6th at 11 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be made to the St. Clair County Allied Veterans Honor Guard. To leave a message of comfort visit www.youngcolonial.com
