Robert James Gallmore's Obituary
Robert James Gallmore,83, of Macomb MI died peacefully on Monday, October 25th, 2021 surrounded by his daughters, Laura and Linda. He died following a 2 week battle with COVID 19. Bob, as he liked to be called (or Joey bag “o” donuts as he was lovingly called by his firefighter buddies) was a dedicated Detroit Firefighter. He loved his job and his fellow firefighters. Due to his dedication and hard work he rose through the ranks and retired from the department in the role of East Side Chief at the age of 60. Upon retirement, he dedicated himself to his children, grandchildren and many close friends. He is survived by his daughters, Laura and Linda, son-in-laws Rick and Dale grandchildren, Caitlin (Tommy), Eric, Taylor (Drew) and Emily and his great Grandsons, Eli and Corbin. He is preceded in death by many loved ones. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. A small, private memorial will be held. Bob will be laid to rest with fellow dedicated firefighters at Elmwood Cemetery in Detroit, Michigan.
