Robert Moore Foster's Obituary
Robert Moore Foster, age 74, of Marine City, died Sunday April 17, 2016.
Bob was a graduate of Marine City High School. He earned both his BS and MS degrees from the University of Michigan before graduating from the University of Cincinnati College of Law. He then clerked in the Oregon State Court of Appeals in Salem, Oregon, before returning to Marine City to practice law.
An avid fisherman, Bob loved living on the river and taking annual fishing trips to northern Canada. He was a voracious reader, routinely devouring a number of books in a week. He attended every Marine City High School football game and was a huge fan of Michigan sports. He also enjoyed golfing and playing cards.
Bob leaves behind his beloved wife of 49 years, Rossalynn (Eckman) Foster; his son, Solomon Foster (Jennifer Foster); his daughter, Sarah Foster (Darin Glass); his brother Gerald Foster; two grandchildren he adored, Lily and Henry; and extended family from Cincinnati. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis Earl Foster and Beatrice Fennert Foster.
Visitation will be Wednesday April 20th from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. followed by a memorial reception at 7:30 at the Riviera Restaurant, Marine City, where the celebration of Bob’s life will continue.
