Bob a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones at age 90. Born in 1935, Bob graduated high school in 1953 before proudly serving his country as a veteran of the United States Army. He was happiest when spending time “up north” in Michigan, wintering in Florida, or traveling to new places. A passionate gardener, he took great pride in his flowers. Most of all he loved spending time with family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Abram & Marguerite Davis, two brothers, Richard and Thomas Davis, and a sister Marion Shipley. His role as a leader within his family and his unwavering faith will forever remain an inspiration to those who knew and loved him. Bob’s life was defined by hard work, devotion to his family, and a love of simple joys. His legacy lives on in the hearts of all who have had the privilege of knowing him. The family will hold a private ceremony to honor his life and memory. Memorial contributions can be made to Blue Water Hospice or Fellowship Baptist Church.
