Mr. Robert A. Comment's Obituary
Robert A. Comment (Big Pa Pa), age 83, of Casco Twp., died peacefully on April 7, 2012 after a series of long illnesses.
He is the son of the late Wilfred and Marie Comment, born July 1, 1928. He married Mary Lou Kirchner in September of 1950.
Robert was honorably discharged from the Air Force in 1952 and a life long member of Immaculate Conception Church.
He was employed by J.R. Panelli Equipment Company as a heavy equipment salesman. Robert was the owner of C & J Tractor Sales, Inc. in Richmond, MI, family owned since 1947.
Robert was a semi pro baseball player and coached Little League and Babe Ruth. He was also a recruiter for local football athletes and sponsored many baseball teams.
His favorite past-time was Notre Dame football, baseball and playing cards.
Robert is survived by his wife of 61 years Mary Lou, children; Kathy, Rob, Barb and Karen, brother; William Comment, 6 grandchildren and many great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by parents and sister; JoAnne DeGrandchamp.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
