Robert L. Bushay's Obituary
Robert L. Bushay, age 88, of Fort Gratiot, passed away December 27, 2015. He was born June 15, 1927. He is the loving husband of Theresa Petitpren Bushay for sixty seven years. Dear father of Gregory (Sue) Bushay, Timothy (JoAnn) Bushay, Robert (Penny) Bushay and father in law to Betty Bushey. He was predeceased by his son Nathan (Noreen) Bushey. Grandpa to seven grandchildren and “Great Pop” to thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
Dad had many interests, family being first on his list. An expert in wood working, he was a pattern maker for General Motors for over thirty years, retiring in 1992. His love of wood working followed him throughout his life as he adorned his home with everything from hand crafted fine furniture to wooden decoys, birds, carvings and meticulously created landscapes and ornamental trees. Father of four loving sons, he was a great Dad with unending dedication, which we admired. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1944-1947. In winter he and mom enjoyed spending time in the Florida sunshine, always ready to come home if someone needed him.
Talents-too many to mention, Love for family-to be admired, Memories-to last a lifetime. Our dad has made the story of our lives and he will never be forgotten.
Cremation has taken place and a family memorial is planned for a later date. Arrangements by Young Funeral Home, China Twp.
