Mrs. Rita (Grzelak) Kunnath's Obituary
Rita (Grzelak) Kunnath, age 86 of East China Twp., passed away suddenly on the morning of Monday February 11, 2013. The first born and only daughter of Joseph and Mary Grzelak, Rita was born in Detroit on July 13, 1926. She married her teenage sweetheart, Paul Kunnath on June 28, 1947, and together they enjoyed nearly sixty six years of marriage.
Rita's beloved husband as well as her loving children, Richard (Linda) Kunnath, Paulette (John) Hessenbruch, Mark (Geni) Kunnath and Gail (Bob) Nead, survive to cherish her memory. She also leaves behind nine grandchildren and thirteen great grandchildren, each of whom she celebrated and treasured.
Rita was predeceased by her only brother, Rev. Joseph Grzelak and by her beloved daughter, Donna Marie Salski.
Our beautiful and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend will live forever in our hearts. Life has to end, but love doesn't.
A mass of remembrance will be held Friday February 15th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. The family will receive visitors from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the church prior to mass.
