Richard Kevin “Rick” Wood, age 44, of East China Twp. died April 15, 2011. He was born November 20, 1966 in East China Twp. Rick graduated in 1984 from Marine City High School.
On September 14, 1991 he married Christine Konik in Marine City. Rick worked at the Merritt Acadamy for the Romine Group.
He is survived by his wife of 19 years Christine Wood, daughters; Amanda and Sara Wood, parents; Richard L. and Deanna Wood, sister; Kimberly (Dave) Brown and brother; Jeffrey (Kim) Wood, nieces and nephews; Taylor and Jill Brown, Riley, Rian and Caleb Wood, Jonathon and Alexis Turke, and many dear friends.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday April 20th at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady on the River Parish, Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Visiting hours are Tuesday 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China Twp. and Wednesday 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at the church prior to mass.
Memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family and will be divided among different charities in Rick’s memory.
