Richard L. Westrick's Obituary
Richard L. Westrick, age 86, of China Twp. passed away peacefully January 22, 2023 with his family by his side. He was born September 17, 1936 in China Twp. to the late Harvey and Agnes Westrick. He married Lorraine Phillippi on August 24, 1963 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair where he was a lifelong member. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, Council 2251, St. Clair.
Richard worked on the family dairy farm most of his life. He enjoyed hunting, bird watching, trips to the U.P. and most of all his time spent with his family who he adored.
He is survived by his wife; Lorraine Westrick, children; John (Susan) Westrick, Doug (Beth) Westrick and Deanna (Steve) Luciw. He is also survived by his grandchildren; Haley (Mike) Ceglarek, Megan Westrick (Kevin), Mara Westrick (Seth), Krista (Cory) Harding, Brendan Westrick, Jenna (Rick) Hayden, Stephanie (Taylor) Alison, Nick Omilian, Alexandra and Christopher Luciw, and 9 great-grandchildren.
Also survived by his brothers; Gerald (Susan) Westrick, Leroy (Marcia) Westrick and Harvey (Elena) Westrick, his sisters; Leona (Bill) Moran and Mary (Ron) Distelrath, sister in-law; Margaret Westrick along with many nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his granddaughter; Morgan Westrick, brother; Melvin Westrick, and sister; Eileen (Pete) Cook.
Funeral mass will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday February 25 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. The family will receive visitors outside of church from 11:00 a.m. 11:30 a.m. prior to mass. Inurnment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, St. Clair. Memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association or family wishes
