Richard Edward Wasmuth's Obituary
Richard Edward Wasmuth, age 91, of St. Clair, went to be with the Lord on January 31, 2019. He was born on July 2, 1927 to the late Andrew and Ida Wasmuth. On January 31, 1953 Richard married Charlyene Ferguson. He worked as an operator at the St. Clair power plant for 30 years. Richard served in the United States Army from 1950-1952. Richard was a long time member of the American Legion Post 449, Marysville.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Charlyene; children, Paula (David) Churchill, Richard Jr. (Nancy) Wasmuth, Pamela Wheeler, Patricia (Richard) Conger; sister, Dolores Hutchins, 9 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, many special nieces and nephews, as well as many other family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandson, Shawn Duffy; great grandson, Drayven; brother, Raymond Wasmuth; and sister, Viola Colden.
Cremation arrangements have taken place. A memorial service was held on Tuesday, February 5 at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Richard will be placed in a niche at Hillside cemetery at a later date. To leave a message of comfort visit www.youngcolonial.com
