Richard A. "Dick" Solgot's Obituary
Richard A. “Dick” Solgot, age 76, of St.Clair Twp., passed away on January 4, 2017. He was born in St. Clair on May 29, 1940. Dick grew up in Marine City the son of the late Clarence and Catherine (Klause) Solgot.
Dick served his country proudly in the United States Navy aboard the USS Blandy. He then joined the Providence, Rhode Island Police Department and retired many years later as a detective. Returning to the Blue Water Area Dick worked for the St. Clair County 72nd Circuit Court in Port Huron for several years before moving to Florida. After 18 years in Florida once again the blue water called and he and his wife returned to the St. Clair Area in 2005.
Richard is survived by his wife, Isabella Solgot; his three children, Michelle (Dave) Comery of Coventry , RI, Richard A. Jr. (Diane) Solgot of Warwick, RI and Theodore J. (Kathy) Solgot of Coventry, RI; four grandchildren, Ricky and Crystal Solgot, Christopher Comery and Lily Solgot and two great grandchildren, Sam and Evelyn.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service/celebration of life will be held at a later date.
