Richard M. "Dick" Rickert's Obituary
Richard M. “Dick” Rickert, age 78, of Cottrellville Twp., passed away peacefully June 27, 2021 with his family at his side. He was born June 28, 1942 in Mt. Clemens to the late Walter and Geraldine Rickert.
Richard was employed by the Chrysler Corporation for 34 years, retiring in 1996. He was also the financial treasurer for the UAW Local 899 for 30 years. When not working Dick loved spending time with his family and hunting pheasant and deer with his boys.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Susan Rickert; children, David (Lanie) Rickert, Gary (Jill) Rickert and Steve (Cheryl) Rickert; grandchildren, Shelley Molina, Chelsea DelaO, Kaylie, Kyle and Kaleb Rickert; step grandchildren, Morgan and Jordan Shelton and five great grandchildren; brothers, Tom (Debbie) Rickert and Jim Rickert; brother in law, Richard Achatz and many nieces and nephews.
Dick was preceded in death by his grandson, Joshua Frank and sister, Jeannie Achatz.
Funeral services will be held Thursday July 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Private family interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.
