Richard O. Jones' Obituary
Richard O. Jones, age 83, of St.Clair passed away on July 1, 2013 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born to the late Dewey and Ella Jones on June 23, 1930 in Burton, MI. He married Betty Wisniewski on February 15, 1964 in Burton. He retired from the U.S. Air Force after 20 years of service. He later retired from KMart Corporation after 27 years of service. He had many passions in his life that he enjoyed; his grandchildren, master gardening, fishing and cooking.
He is survived by his wife; Betty Jones, children; April (Mike) Reed, Richard (Katie) Jones, Jr., Christopher (Cynthia) Jones, Linda (Gary) Jackson, Kay (Ron) Pearson, 13 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by 4 sisters, 1 brother and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.
Services will be held on Saturday July 6, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St.Clair. Visiting hours will be Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Saturday from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at church prior to mass. Interment will be at St.Mary's Cemetery, St.Clair. Memorials may be made to wishes of the family. www.youngcolonial.com
