Richard J. Jodts' Obituary
Richard J. Jodts, age 79, of St. Clair, formerly of Clinton Twp., went to be with the Lord on June 25, 2022. He was born on April 24, 1943 to the late Julius and Nellie Jodts. Richard was a graduate of St. Austin High School class of 1961. On July 11, 1964 he married Gloria Lamb. Richard worked as an engineer for several years. Later in his career, he taught drafting and math at Macomb County Community College for 10 years. He was a member of the Moose Lodge, Detroit Sportsman Club, and the Pine River Sportsman Club. Richard was an avid outdoorsman, who enjoyed camping, trap shooting at the sportsman clubs, and pheasant hunting. He was a man with a tremendous work ethic who was a great provider for his family. He was always keeping himself busy and finding things to do.
He is survived by his loving wife, Gloria; children, Colleen Lawrence, Richard W. (Lori) Jodts; grandchildren, Eric Lawrence, Richard J., Jenna, and Jared Jodts.
He is preceded in death by his son in law, Bill Lawrence.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, July 1, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. visiting hours will be Thursday, June 30 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. as well as one hour prior to the service at the funeral home on Friday.
