Richard Gallagher's Obituary
Richard Gallagher, age 62, resident of Memphis, MI, passed away on March 24, 2022 after a brief and courageous battle against Multiple Myeloma.
Richard was born February 13, 1960. Richard graduated from Richmond High School in 1978 and then went on to graduate from Michigan Technological University in 1983. He was employed as a Manufacturing Manager at Toyo Seat.
Richard was known for being “Everyone’s dad” and he would give the shirt off his back to help another. His smile was contagious and his spirit lit up a room. He was a friend to everyone he met. He enjoyed camping, watching local sporting events and cracking open a Bud Light. But what Richard cherished the most was being Papa to Graham, Kinsley, and Lucas. Richard is the definition of a family man. Our lives were enriched greatly from simply loving him. While Richard grew up in Richmond, Memphis held a special place in his heart. He dedicated himself to community athletics and coaching.
Richard is survived by his children, Chelsey (Thomas) Hull, Ryan (Alissa) Gallagher; sisters, Margaret (Chuck) Teltow, Ann (Bob) Durst, Kathleen Gallagher; nieces and nephews, Aidan and Olivia Durst, Lindsey (Jeremy) Beauchamp, Aspen and Hudson Davenport; his adored grandchildren, Graham and Kinsley Hull, Lucas Gallagher; along with many friends.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Mary Gallagher and brother-in-law, Derik Davenport.
