Raymond E. Beier's Obituary
Raymond Edward Beier, age 94, of St. Clair, passed away October 20, 2011 at Mt.Clemens Regional Medical Center after a short illness, surrounded by his family.
He was born November 27, 1916 to the late William A. and Lillian A. (Osterland) Beier, China Township.
On June 22, 1940, Raymond was married to Alvira E. Lipke at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Peters, by the Reverend A.C. Hueter. They were married 68 years. He was preceded in death by Alvira on March 23, 2009.
He served with the US Army during World War II. He was a lifelong farmer and also worked at Chrysler Corporation for 48 years.
He is survived by a son, William B. Beier, daughter Janet (Keith) Teltow, daughter Brenda (Richard) Eifert, son Ronald Raymond Beier; grandsons Jason (Lauri Perry), Jeffrey, Jeremy (Kelly) Teltow, Jonathan (Natalie) and Nathan (Michelle Kane) Eifert; great-granddaughter Audrey Teltow; great grandsons Gavin Eifert and Landon Teltow; sister-in-law Marjorie Beier; sisters-in-law Esther Lipke, Pearl Lipke, Violet Osterland, Myrtice Lipke and many nieces, nephews and friends.
Raymond was preceded in death by his wife, Alvira (2009), daughter Judith Ann Beier (1975); brothers Leonard, Wallace, Edmund, and Bernard Beier.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 24, 2011 at 11am at St. Peters Lutheran Church, St. Clair, the Rev. Roland Troike will officiate. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 22 from 4-9pm and Sunday, October 23 from 2-9pm at Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China Twp, and Monday October 24 from 10-11:00am at the church prior to services.
