Ramona Olive Kronnich's Obituary
Ramona Olive Kronnich (nee Valla), age 96, of Marine City, passed away August 23, 2025. She was born November 26, 1928 in Marine City to the late Joseph and Lillan (nee Galarneau) Valla.
She married Thomas W. Kronnich on January 17, 1948. He preceded her in death on June 27, 1993. Together they raised 4 children; John, Ruth Ann, Kathryn Jo, Steven.
She is survived by children; Kathryn Jo Rhodes and Steven Kronnich. She was preceded in death by children; John Kronnich and Ruth Ann Senger.
She is also survived by her grandchildren; Karen, Kim, John, Heather, Kristin, Jessica, Steven, Amberlee and Andrew, along with many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Granddaughter April preceded her in death.
She was preceded in death by sisters; Phyllis Frye and Thedosia Fink and brother; Joseph Valla.
Ramona was a Girl Scout leader and member of the VFW Auxiliary. She was fortunate to do some traveling to places as far away as Germany, Austria, Mexico and Hawaii.
She was active in card club for years, playing euchre every week. She was an avid collector of chickens as a hobby.
Ramona was a member of Cherry Beach Senior Center, where she participated in shows like “Off your Rockers”.
Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 30 at Our Lady on the River Parish, Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Interment to follow at Woodlawn Cemetery, Marine City. Visiting will be Friday from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and at church from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. prior to mass.
Memorials may be made to the Washington Life Center, Marine City.
