Ralph Moldenhauer's Obituary
Ralph F. Moldenhauer Sr. age 82, of Marine City, died February 24, 2011. He was born June 1, 1928 in Fraser to the late Frederick and Dora Moldenhauer.
On May 20, 1950 Ralph married Lois Denstaedt in Anchorville. Ralph worked 42 years at the Detroit Gasket. He was a volunteer fireman and former fire chief at the Marine City Fire Department Ralph joined the Knights of Columbus, Marine City #851 in 1952 and was a Third Degree member and Past Grand Knight also a Fourth Degree member of Richmond Assembly # 480. He was a member of Holy Cross Church and St. Vincent DePaul.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Lois Moldenhauer, children; Connie (Steve) McCartney, Lynne Moldenhauer, Terry (Dan) Lozon, and Bob (Fran) Moldenhauer, 13 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son; Ralph Moldenhauer Jr. and granddaughter; Andrea DeVolder, and sister; Lillian Beier.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady on the River Parish, Holy Cross Church, Marine City. Interment will follow in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visiting hours are Saturday 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. and Sunday 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Monday 10:00 to 11:00 at the church prior to mass.
A rosary will be said Sunday at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be made to St. Vincent DePaul or the charity of the donor's choice.
