Rachael Lynn Brown's Obituary
Rachael Lynn Brown, age 44, of Sterling Heights, Michigan passed away on June 16 surrounded by family and friends, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She graduated from Marine City High School in 1995 and worked many years for Kroll International as the Accounts Receivable Credit/Collections manager. She loved her job and did it well. Her love for her work was only surpassed by her love of being a mom to her three amazing children: Marissa, Austin, and Avery. Her positive, thoughtful and loving disposition made her friends and family always want to be near. She loved her menagerie of pets and enjoyed gardening and traveling. She was also grounded by her faith. In addition to her children, she is survived by her dedicated father (Gary Acre), loving brother (Scot Acre) and cherished twin sister (Monica Rizzo). She will be dearly missed by her brother-in-law Jeff (Monica) Rizzo and nieces Abbigail and Audrina; by brother-in-law George (Scot) Peters, and by her many friends and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews of the Acre and Kaleto families. Rachael is preceded in death by her grandparents Earl Acre, Jo Ann Acre, Andrew Kaleto, and Joan Burkart.
Visitation will be at Young Funeral Home, 4061 St. Clair Hwy, China Twp, Michigan on Monday, June 20 between 3:00 and 8:00 p.m. Visitation will continue on Tuesday, June 21 at 9:30 a.m. with services at 10:30 a.m., also at Young Funeral Home. This will be followed by a procession to Woodlawn Cemetery, 444 Pleasant Street, Marine City, Michigan for the internment.
Rachael has set up a fund for the benefit of her children. Donations may be sent via Venmo to @Laura-Varndell with a notation that it be for the purpose of the “Rachael Brown children’s fund”.
