Philip J. Cataldo's Obituary
Philip J. Cataldo, age 93, of St. Clair, passed away October 14, 2021. He was born on December 27, 1927 in Columbus Twp. to the late Ross and Patrina Cataldo. He married Doris Adamson on September 11, 1948 in Marysville. She passed away on April 9, 2014.
He retired from the Diamond Crystal Salt Co. after many years of service.
Phil was a longtime member of St. Christopher Catholic Church, Marysville and the Knights of Columbus Council 2251, St. Clair.
He enjoyed gardening, casino trips and playing euchre. He and Doris traveled to all 50 states and their capitals.
He is survived by his children; Bob (Betty) Cataldo, Dave Cataldo, Russ (Donelda) Cataldo, Tina (Gary) Wilkerson, Mary Thueme, Tim (Donna) Cataldo, and Jim (Teri) Cataldo. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, his sister; Ann Nows and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his son; Ray Cataldo, grandson; Adam Cataldo, great-grandson; Connor Broderick and brother; Frank Cataldo.
Funeral mass will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 19 at St. Christopher Catholic Church, Marysville. Interment will be at Riverlawn Cemetery, Marysville. Visiting hours will be Monday from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Tuesday at church one hour prior to mass. A rosary will be said Monday evening at 7:00 p.m.
