Perfecto "Fizz" Fajardo's Obituary
Perfecto "Fizz" Fajardo, age 77, of St. Clair, passed away May 31, 2025. He was born to the late Samuel and Juanita Fajardo on August 28, 1947 in Rodey, New Mexico.
He married Mary McLeod on August 21, 1970 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair. He continued to be a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and was a member of Msgr. Kromenaker Knights of Columbus, 2251 of St. Clair.
He proudly served his country with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era. He then went on to work as a jet engine mechanic at Selfridge Air Force Base. During this time Fizz also served with the Michigan Air National Guard. During his working career and busy family life he earned his Bachelor Degree from Wayne State University. Upon his retirement in 2003 he then went to work as the building maintenance manager at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City.
Fizz enjoyed golfing, pickleball, playing dominoes, tending to his horses and most of all spending time with his grandchildren and family. He and Mary coached Little League and were foster parents for many years.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years; Mary Fajardo, his children; Sam (Jerri) and their daughters; Kaela and Carlie, Don (Debbie) and children; Austin, Charlotte and Joey, Larry (Cher) and children; Wyatt, Ty, and Lane, Dave (Amanda) and children; Sammy and Morgan, Karen (Kris) Thiele and son; Triston and Chris and son; Jordan, along with great-granddaughter; Lainey.
He is also survived by 5 siblings and many in-laws, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by 6 siblings.
Mass of Resurrection will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 9 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, St. Clair.
Interment will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery, St. Clair with military honors at graveside.
Visiting hours will be Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. with rosary held at 7:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Morning prayers to be held at 10:15 a.m. in funeral home on Monday with procession to church for mass.
