Mr. Paul Lee Pitzer's Obituary
Paul Lee Pitzer, age 84, of Marysville, passed away peacefully at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit on Monday, October 13, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. in the company of his family.
Born March 6th, 1930 in Detroit, MI
Predeceased by his mother Anise Pitzer, his father William Pitzer, and brother Ray Pitzer.
Survived by his loving wife Gloria Pitzer, sons Bill and Michael, and daughters Debra, Laura, and Cheryl.
Paul was also survived by eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Paul and his wife Gloria enjoyed 59 years married to one another.
Paul served in many positions while at the Willy Sign Company during his 21 years with the company. He then partnered with his wife Gloria to run their investigative recipe business called Gloria Pitzer’s Secret Recipes. Paul also served as a Sergeant in the United States Air Force, 84th Bomb Squadron.
Paul was a sports enthusiast. He watched golf, he loved the Red Wings, he prayed for the Pistons, he was frustrated by the Tigers, and now that he is Heaven he will try and help the Lions field goal kicker.
The service will be held on Friday, October 17th 2014 from 12:00 PM to 1:00PM at Young’s Funeral Home in St. Clair, MI. Address: 4061 St. Clair Highway, China Township (St. Clair) The service will include prayer, worship, military honors, and luncheon after the service at the Lions Club, just up the street at the corner of St.Clair Highway and King Road.
The family would like to thank those who have graciously offered their love and support during this time including the ICU staff and Doctors at Henry Ford Hospital.
Paul was a man of gentleness and kindness. He served his family and friends with honor and humility, always putting others above himself as instructed by his savior Jesus Christ whom he served until his death.
