Patrick Kane Currier's Obituary
Patrick Kane Currier, age 86, of China Twp., died November 10, 2011. He was born November 14, 1924 in Marine City to the late Claude and Marie Currier.
Patrick served with the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a millwright for Local 1102 for 50 years. He was a parishioner of Our Lady on the River, Holy Cross Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus Council #856 of Marine City. Patrick was an avid Marine City Football fan. Spending time with his family is what he loved most of all.
He is survived by his children; Tom Currier, Judy Thomas, Scott Currier, Tony Currier, Jerry Currier, Craig Currier, John Currier and Lisa Volkman. Step children; Bob, Mike, Jim, and Sally Donaldson, Irma and Viola Garcia, Denise and Jorge Cantu, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his wives; Bernice Currier and Dorothy Currier, brothers; Richard and Chuck Currier, and son Patrick Currier.
Funeral service will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady on the River Parish, Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Visiting hours are Sunday 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China Twp.
A rosary will be said Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m.
