Patricia Jean White's Obituary
St. Clair, Michigan-Patricia Jean White (Manion), age 82, passed away peacefully on August 31, 2019 at Medilodge of St. Clair. Born on November 12, 1936 to Violet and George Manion, Patricia grew up in Marine City and attended Holy Cross schools. Throughout her adult life, Patricia worked for the Algonac branch of the Secretary of State, Erickson Drugs in St. Clair and at various optical stores locally before retiring. A devoted follower of the Lord, Patricia spent many Sundays attending mass at St. Mary’s, St. Catherine’s and Holy Cross parishes. During her lifetime, she was a devoted volunteer for various organizations including the Algonac Lionesses-serving as Chairwoman for a time-Algonac Little League, and the Mother’s March of Dimes of St. Clair County. She loved her family, watching movies, Elvis, Christmastime, and her Detroit Tigers. Her kind and generous heart and warm hugs will be sorely missed. She is survived by her loving son, Rick Gougeon (Kathy), two grandchildren, Ryan Gougeon and Amanda Gougeon, a brother in Marine City, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins, who loved her dearly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clint White. Family and friends will gather at Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 4061 St. Clair Hwy., East China, MI 48054 on Thursday, September 5th from 2:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m. A rosary will be said at 7:00 p.m. A funeral mass will be Friday September 6th at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, 620 S. Water St., Marine City, MI 48039 with Patricia lying in state for one hour prior to the mass.
