Patricia A. M. Spicer's Obituary
Patricia A. M. Spicer, age 88, of Marine City, passed away peacefully on October 6, 2024. She was born on February 11, 1936 to the late Francis and Helen Jolin. Patricia was a graduate of Marine City High School. Following high school, she worked at Finsterwalds. She went on and worked as a dental assistant for over 55 years. Patricia started working for Dr. Beauchamp in Marine City, and then retired following her time at Bay West, New Baltimore. She married Everett “Sonny” Spicer on June 21, 1957, who preceded her in death on February 15, 2023. Her and Sonny owned and operated Pages Party Store, which they bought in 1974, and she assisted as the bookkeeper for 26 years. Even though she was busy working, Patricia always made time to babysit her grandchildren when Sandy needed it. Patricia was a longtime, faithful member at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. In her spare time, she was an avid bowler, who bowled in leagues at Tower Bowl in Marine City, then at the Voyageur in St. Clair. Patricia enjoyed her arts and crafts, she very skilled in sewing and quilting, making curtains and blankets for her family. She truly cherished the time she spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Patricia will be greatly missed by all who knew her. But her family and friends have comfort knowing that she is back with her husband, Sonny.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Spicer; grandsons, Shane (Jenni) Smith and Shawn DuVall; great grandsons, Everett Smith and Robert DuVall; sisters, Cheri Reuba, Cindy Jolin; faithful companion, Domino, as well as several nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her sisters, Phyllis Biskner, and Pauline Straite; son-in-law, Robert DuVall.
Cremation arrangements with Young Funeral Home, China Twp. A memorial mass will be held Saturday July 26th at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Visitation will take place at the church from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. prior to mass. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family.
