Opal Violet Burgess' Obituary
Opal V. Burgess, age 96, of St. Clair, Michigan, formerly of Oak Hill, West Virginia, died November 26, 2011. She was born June 28, 1915 in Prudence, West Virginia. On August 31, 1935 Opal Stinnett married Eugene Burgess, he preceded her in death in 1996.
She is survived by her daughters; Nina (Martin) Good and Judy Benns, grandchildren; Kim, Chris, Millicent, Tracee and Stacee, 8 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
She was predeceased by a daughter; Shelby Blake and grandson Michael Benns.
Funeral services will be held Saturday December 3rd at 12:00 noon at Tyree Funeral Home, Oak Hill, West Virginia. Interment will follow in High Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home Saturday 11:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers Opal's family requests donations be made to the donor's favorite charity in her memory.
