Norman W. Grasley Jr.'s Obituary
Norman W. Grasley Jr., age 63, of St. Clair, passed away April 15, 2024 following a lengthy battle with kidney disease. Norman was born November 24, 1960 to the late Norman Grasley Sr. and Martha J. Delor.
On May 23, 1981 Norman married Cindy Solgot in St. Clair and they enjoyed 42 years of marriage. For over 30 years, Norman was employed as kitchen manager at River District Hospital, East China Twp. When away from work, Norman enjoyed gardening and line dancing. He and his family would also spend time traveling. His trips to his cabin in St. Helen and Oma’s cabin in Gould City, Michigan were among his favorite destinations.
Even though Norman enjoyed these many pleasures, his time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren were the most precious. Norman made a lifetime hobby out of spending time and helping raise the grandchildren and great grandchildren, that he adored. His family will miss and forever remember this sweet man who kept his sense of humor right to the end.
Norman is survived by his wife, Cindy; children, Norman (Sarah) Grasley and Katie (Sheila) Grasley; grandchildren, Joseph, Emily, Jordan, Faith and McKinley; 4 great grandchildren; siblings, Barb (Jim) Krzywiecki, Warren (Patty) Delor and Marty-K Delor and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his siblings, Carolyn Morris, Debbie Dixon and Conrad Delor and grandmother, Oma Rettinger.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 18th at 10:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair. Visiting hours are Wednesday April 17th 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.
