Mr. Norman "Jim" Dupuie's Obituary
Norman J. "Jim" Dupuie, age 72 of Marine City died Tuesday, Oct. 28, 2014. He was born June 15, 1942, to the late Frederick and Ruth Dupuie. Norman was a 1960 graduate of Marine City High School and proudly served his country in the United States Army. On Aug. 6, 1963 he married Rita Muller in Leitershofen, Germany.
Stormin' Norman was an avid recycler, dedicated Marine City Mariner fan, member of several organizations, donor to many charities, lover of Stroh's beer, horseshoes, shuffleboard, cards, politics, bananas, home-cooked meals on wheels from his children, a good debate and quality family time. Stubborn as an ox but he was the best husband, father, Papa, brother and uncle to his family.
Norman is survived by his wife Rita; children Bernie Dupuie, Patty (Jon) Reuba, James (Carolyn) Dupuie and Chrystal (Jim) Lilly. Grandchildren; Kayla, JJ, Kelsi, Ashleigh, Derek and Jasmine. Great granddaughter Kaliana. Brother John (Paudeen) Dupuie. Sisters Marilyn (Melvin) Leverenz, Sue Witmer and Kate Lyon; a special aunt Rosemary Clemons and several nieces and nephews. Norman was preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Frederick Dupine, Joseph, Valentine and Richard Dupuie and sisters Patricia Gauthier and Jeanette Gauthier.
Visitation will be Sunday November 2nd from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. in Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Military Honors will be conducted at 7:00 p.m.
