Norma K. Reynolds Cavanaugh's Obituary
Norma K. Reynolds Cavanaugh, age 96, of East China Twp., passed away December 17, 2017. Norma was born March 18, 1921 in Newburyport, Massachusetts, daughter of the late Henry and Rose Reynolds.
Norma graduated from Newburyport High School in 1938. She received her Bachelor’s degree in 1942 from Salem State College and her Master’s degree in 1967 from Boston University. She taught in Charlestown, New Hampshire for one year and spent 39 years teaching in Amesbury, Massachusetts retiring in 1987. Norma married Walter Cavanaugh in 1987.
In addition to her husband she is predeceased by a sister, Eleanor Reynolds and Ann Zabriskie.
Norma is survived by Michael (Jill) Cavanaugh, Thomas Cavanaugh, Dennis (Pamela) Cavanaugh, Patricia (Frederick) LaFontaine, Virginia (Hendrick) Rivard, Eleanore (John) McDowell and Maureen (Eugene) Vyletel and several grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial mass will be held at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Salvation Army. Arrangements by Young Funeral Home, China Twp. www.youngcolonial.com
