Mrs. Noreene J. Meldrum's Obituary
Noreene J. Meldrum, age 78, of East China Twp., died October 17, 2013. She was born September 9, 1935 in Rockwood, Michigan.
Noreene graduated from Holy Cross High School in 1953. On August 17, 1957 Noreene Hillis married Theodore Meldrum in Marine City.
She was a member of Holy Cross Church, the Red Hat Society and was an avid card player.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years Theodore Meldrum, children; Kathleen (Michael) Hoover, Jill (Billy) Wichert, Jeff (Lisa) Meldrum and Karen (Verne) Westrick, grandchildren; Dana (Ed), Teresa, Stefan, Courtney, Jake, Jimmy, Paul, Alex, Jaclyn, Aaron, Mitch and Mallory, great grandchildren; Isabella, Gabrielle, Vincent and Landon and best friend; Tia Welser. She was preceded in death by a brother; Blair (Gabrielle) Hillis.
Cremation has taken place and a funeral mass will be conducted Monday October 28th at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Church, Our Lady on the River Parish, Marine City. Urn interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visiting hours are Sunday, October 27th, 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 9:00 with a 7:00 p.m. rosary at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the church prior to mass.
