Nancy Ann Maedel's Obituary
Nancy Ann Maedel, age 86, a lifetime resident of Casco Twp., passed away peacefully on December 17, 2025. She was born May 18, 1939 in Casco Twp. to the late Earl and Leona Uppleger.
On May 2, 1957 Nancy married Hilbert Maedel Jr. and they enjoyed 40 years of marriage before his passing in 1997.
Nancy was a lifetime active member of St. James United Church of Christ, Casco Twp. She was always willing to give of her time and talents for many church events. Nancy embraced being a homemaker. Her baking skills were unmatched, especially her cookies. She had a kind and forgiving nature and was a mother figure to all who knew her. She will be dearly missed by so many family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren.
Nancy is survived by her children, Judy (Frank) Tringali, Jim (Brenda) Maedel and Jerry (Patti) Maedel; granddaughters, Samantha Maedel and Sarah Maedel; great grandsons, Rowan and River; siblings, Elmer (late Nancy) Uppleger, Ed (Lou Ann) Uppleger and Janie (late Don) Shoebottom and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy was predeceased by siblings, Don (Carol) Uppleger, Harold (Betty) Uppleger and Betty (Gil) Pavey.
Funeral services will be held Monday, December 22nd at 11:30 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp., Rev. Dr. G. Patrick Thompson will officiate. Interment will follow in Rosehill Cemetery. Visiting hours are Monday prior to service from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
