Monica Ceckowski's Obituary
Monica Ceckowski, age 78, of Fort Gratiot, went to be with the Lord on April 21, 2024. She was born in Dearborn, Michigan on October 10, 1945. Living in Detroit until moving to “the farm” in North Street in 1973 with her husband and two children and later moving to Port Huron in 1989.
Monica loved gardening. Her flower gardens were beautiful and the vegetable gardens were very abundant. She found joy spending time with her children, grandchildren and great grandson. Monica also enjoyed family dinners, going out for breakfast, classic Rock-n-Roll & Country music, playing cards, shooting pool, bowling, sitting in the sun and a good movie.
Monica worked for many years at the St. Clair County Humane Society, which then became The Blue Water Area Humane Society. Retiring as director in 2013.
