Michael Alphonse Senger's Obituary
Michael Alphonse Senger, age 74, of Marine City, passed away April 27, 2022. He was born January 22, 1948 in St. Clair to the late Frank and Germaine Senger.
Mike attended Michigan State University for 2 years. He began his working career at a young age in the family business, Marine City Nursery, and later became part owner with his brothers until his retirement. As a nurseryman Mike was a perfectionist. He loved his work and took great pride in his landscape designs. When not working Mike enjoyed spending time with his friends. His years pitching for Gord’s Orange modified softball team in Marine City was also a favorite pastime.
He is survived by his siblings, Carole Piper, Warren (Jeanie) Senger, Gail (Joe) Posey, Frank (Patti) Senger and Pat (Diane) Senger; sister in law, Harriet Senger and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his siblings, Ronald Senger, Robert Senger, Mary Bachler and Julianne Caraway.
A funeral mass will be Thursday May 5th at 12:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, OLR Parish, Marine City. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery. Visiting hours are Wednesday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. and Thursday at church one hour prior to mass.
