Michael Kindret's Obituary
Michael Kindret, age 86, of St. Clair, died June 17, 2010.
He was born October 23, 1923 in Detroit.
Michael Kindret married LaVida Noel July of 1946 in Napoleon, Ohio. She preceded him in death in 2002.
Michael was with the U.S. Army during World War II as an infantryman of the 33rd division. He was awarded the Purple Heart while in combat in the Philippines.
He retired from Chrysler Corporation in 1976.
He was a former member of the Cherry Beach Senior Center and enjoyed Big Band music and fishing.
He is survived by his son; Michael J. Kindret (Cathy Ingles), Sister; Anne (Raymond) Michalski, dearest granddaughter; Jennifer Kindret (fiancee, Michael Socher)
Step granddaughter; Toni (Jim) Greig, three step great grandchildren; Holly, Zachary, and Grace Greig.
He was preceded in death by his parents John and Pauline Kindrat.
A memorial service will be held Tuesday June 22, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Pine Shores Golf Club, with a funeral luncheon following. Deacon Robert McLeod will officiate. Urn interment will be in Hillside Cemetery, St. Clair at a later date.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Disable American Veterans.
