Michael D. Johnson's Obituary
Michael D. Johnson, age 57, of St. Clair, passed peacefully on September 6, 2016. Mike was born August 27, 1959 in Detroit to Connie Johnson and the late Duane Johnson. He married Danon Stephan on February 14, 1998 in St. Clair. Mike proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during Operation Peace and the Seize of Beirut. Mike was proud of the children’s lives he touched and loved so dearly.
Mike will be forever loved by those he left behind. He is survived by his loving wife of 18 years, Danon, his dear mother, Connie, his brothers; Duane (Lynn) Johnson and Marty Johnson, sisters; Gail Hammontree, Susan (Mike) Garrity and Patricia Johnson. His children; Stefanie (Kurt) Distelrath, Angel (Phil) Sabo and Chris Fisher Jr.
His true joy in this world were his grandchildren, Curtis, Makenzie, Emma, Rae, Ella, Madelynn, Hannah and Christopher. His many nieces and nephews and extended family and friends and his special sister in law Rene’ Stephan. Mike was preceded in death by his father Duane M. Johnson.
A Celebration of Mike’s Life will be held on Friday September 9th at the St. Clair Lions Club from 5 to 9 p.m. A memorial service will begin at 6 p.m. followed by dinner.
