Michael G. Bachler's Obituary
Michael G. Bachler, age 63, of Marine City, passed away peacefully at home on June 22, 2025 surrounded by his family. He was born on May 19, 1962 to the late Joseph and Mary Bachler. Mike was a graduate of Marine City High School, class of 1980. He married Donna Chmielewski on January 12, 1990. Mike grew up working for family-owned businesses including Bachler Electric in Marine City. He went on to represent the Bachler name and proudly ran Bachler Realty as a third-generation broker. Mike served families all over Michigan in the Real Estate industry. He made numerous friends and loved working with his clients. Those relationships were a big reason why Mike worked as a broker for over 35 years. In his spare time, Mike was an avid gun collector, who would go shooting with his brother and father. He enjoyed golfing, from local courses to family trips up north. He was a Detroit sports enthusiast, mainly supporting the Lions and especially the Tigers. He enjoyed many family snowmobiling trips.
Mike took great pride in his lawn, making sure it was always cut and looking good. Above all, Mike cherished the time he spent with his family, especially his grandchildren. His sense of humor, dedication, and generosity will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Donna Bachler; sons, Trent (Megan Schalk) Attebury, Zach (Ashley Zwack) Bachler, Aaron Bachler; grandchildren, Madison, Charlotte, Dalton, Evelynn; brothers, Mark Bachler, Scott (Eileen) Bachler; brother-in-law, Sam Polio, as well as several other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Susan Polio, Joseph Bachler III; sister-in-law, Carrie Bachler.
A funeral service will be Tuesday, July 1st at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Visiting hours will be on Monday, June 30th from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. as well as one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the wishes of the family.
