Maynard Baker's Obituary
Maynard Larry Baker, age 69, of Marine City, died February 13, 2010.
He was born December 8, 1940 in Marine City to the late Bernard and Theodosia Baker.
On August 3, 1963 Maynard married Dianna Lutton, she preceded him in death on October 23, 2009.
Maynard sailed on the Great Lakes for 30 years. He once sailed with his father for ten years on the M.V. Niagra. The last freighter he sailed on was the Belle River.
He was a member of the Seafares International Union.
He is survived by his sons; Steven (Darlene) Baker and Maynard (Dawn) Baker.
Sister; Cinderella "Cindy" (Dave) Miller, eight grandchildren Maynard, Cody, April, Kaylee, Kaylee, Cedar, John, and Michael.
Niece Penny Bobkins and three great nephews.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held Saturday March 27, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at Young Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, China Twp. Urn interment will follow in Smith Cemetery, Cottrellville Twp.
