Mary Margaret Lundman's Obituary
Mary Margaret Lundman of St. Clair passed into heaven on February 15, 2023. Mary was born on July 9, 1943 in Hancock, MI to Margaret and Elmer Hoyer. She graduated from Dollar Bay High School in 1961 and married Phillip Lundman on July 3, 1965. As a military wife, Mary lived throughout the United States supporting Phil as they raised their three children always keeping ties to the Hancock/Dollar Bay area.
Mary was part of the Silk's Flower Shop crew and her Tuesday night Voyager bowling league for over 40 years cultivating many close friendships. Loving music as Mary did, she and Phil were avid followers of the Doubleplay band and enjoyed friendships over music. Being a person of faith, Mary and Phil were members of Holy Family Church of St. Clair.
Above all, Mary loved to spend time with her family, support them all in their many endeavors and was a wonderful cook. Mary is survived by her husband of 57 years Phillip, her three children Steven, Thomas and wife Lettie, and Barbara. She is survived by loving grandchildren Kassandra Trexler, Jacob Schihl, Loren Schihl, and Scott and Becky Emerson and great grandchildren Samantha and Katherine Mary Emerson. Also surviving is her sister Judy Frantila, sisters-in-law Fay Hoyer, Kathleen Lundman and Fay Rose Perfetti with whom she shared a sister-like bond and Eric Trexler. Many wonderful nephews, nieces, cousins and special friends also survive. Predeceasing Mary are her parents, in-laws Alvin and Charlotte Lundman; brother, Roy Hoyer and brother-in-law Stan Frantila. Mary was loved by many and will be dearly missed.
Visitation will be at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. on Sunday, February 26th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.
A memorial service and celebration of Mary's life will be held on Monday, February 27th at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, with a visitation one hour before service. A luncheon will immediately follow at the American Legion Post #382, St. Clair.
