Mary Agosta's Obituary
Mary Agosta, age 80, of St. Clair, formerly of Warren, passed away on February 17, 2021. She was born December 8, 1940 to the late Lawrence and Rose Maloney. She married Anthony “Tony” Agosta on June 18, 1960, who preceded her in death on June 10, 2011. Mary was a woman strong in her faith. She was a lifelong catholic parishioner, most recently a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair. Mary enjoyed her trips up north. Especially to Mackinac Island, she loved everything about northern Michigan, the scenery, environment, food, it was always her favorite place to visit. Having a large family was something Mary always wanted. She took great pride in her 5 children and 8 grandchildren. The time she spent with her family was what Mary cherish most in life.
She is survived by her children, Julie Mahlmann, Danny (Dawn) Agosta, Jean (John) Kotlar, Lisa (Jack) Mattson, Laura (Vince) Griffiths; grandchildren, Nadia, Delaney, Joseph, Jillian, Claire, Mario, Sophia, Maria; and sister, Theresa McCormick
She is preceded in death by her sister, Rose Maloney and brother-in-law, Jim McCormick.
A funeral mass will be Thursday, February 25th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, St. Clair. Visiting hours will be Wednesday, February 24th from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp., with a rosary being recited at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
