Marvel (Frank) Zynda's Obituary
Marvel Frank Zynda, age 93, of East China, went to be with our Lord. She was born October 1925 to the late Robert and Hattie Frank. Marvel married Harold “Bud” Zynda June 8, 1946 and had 68 years together. Bud passed away November 12, 2014.
Marvel loved waitressing. She worked for Chuck Mattas at Sids on the Seaway and retired from the Little Bar after many years with Thomas Gibson. She was a longtime member of St. Martin’s Lutheran Church in Marine City.
She has two daughters, Diana and the late Dr. John Ferris of Clinton Twp. and Beverly and Rick Hija of Marysville, whom she loved very dearly. Granddaughters, Kerri (Kevin) Christofferson of Lake Orion, Michelle Klieman of Chicago. Grandson, Jason Cobb and fiancée Kristina Kosal. She lived for her grandchildren and four great grandkids whom she adored. Four great grandchildren, Ethan, Nolan and Claire Christofferson and Lucas Cobb. Also survived by her dear brother Sherwood Frank of Florida and sister in law Lorraine Frank and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her five sisters, Mable Broadbridge, Beatrice Lipke, Wilma Nixon, Dolores Bradford and Joyce Frank; four brothers, Lavern, Merrill, Harold and Harland Frank. A special thank you to Pastor Troy Waite for all his kind words and prayers.
Visitation is Friday February 1st from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. The funeral service will be Saturday February 2nd at 11:00 a.m. at St. Martin’s Lutheran Church with visitation 10:00 to 11:00 at church prior to service. Interment Woodlawn Cemetery, Marine City.
