I have very fond memories of Mrs. Kessel. She was my English teacher at Holy Cross and introduced me to great literature such as The Tale of Two Cities & James Baldwin's Black Like Me. She analyzed each chapter with us which helped me learn so much. Also, I was in Mrs. Kessel's class when the intercom announced that President John F. Kennedy had died and she had to deal with a very upset teenager. My sympathies to her children and their families.
I remember her from being so young - my mother and Martha were 1st cousins, Prayers sent and RIP.
