Martha Jane Fraley's Obituary
Martha Jane Fraley, age 84, of Marine City, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2021. She was born Martha Jane Chielewski on May 5, 1937 in Detroit to the late Frances Chielewski. Martha married Roy E. Fraley on May 17, 1958. She was a longtime member at Our Lady on the River Parish, Marine City. She was a part of the St. Clair County Kennel Club for several years. In her spare time, Martha enjoyed arts and crafts, cooking, and traveling. When she would shop, Martha always would have an eye out for what was on sale so she could get a good deal on her purchases. She was a conversationalist, who enjoyed meeting and talking to new people. Above all, Martha cherished the time she spent with her family.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Roy; children, Sue (John) Reik of St. Clair Shores, Jennifer (Michael) Delor of China Twp., Jayne (Clifton) Fraley- Burgett of Kalamazoo; daughter-in-law, Debbi Fraley of Marine City; grandchildren, Peter, Phillip, Samantha, Jacob, Nichole, Alexis, Vincent, Matthew, Brandon, Dana, Carly, Ethan, Jonas, Evangeline, Aiden, and 10 great grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her children, Mark Fraley, Kathy (Ron) Tobola, and Christa Fraley.
A funeral mass will be Wednesday, October 6th at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church, Marine City. Visiting hours will be Tuesday, October 5th from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. As well as one hour prior to mass at church on Wednesday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home. For the safety and comfort of others, masks will be recommended.
