Marshall Eli Slayden III's Obituary
Marshall Eli Slayden III, age 73, of St. Clair, peacefully passed away at home with family by his side. After a 2 year battle with cancer. He was born January 9, 1947 to the late Marshall Jr. and Dorothy Slayden. Marshall proudly served his country in the United States Coast Guard for 4 years. He worked for GM for 25 years and retired in 2009. Marshall would tackle any project presented to him. He took great pride in building a house with his son, Marshall IV, as well as helping build his daughter, Carrie’s house. When he wasn’t working, Marshall enjoyed working on his 1968 Triumph and watching his granddaughters, Jessica and Christina, play sports. Marshall was a hardworking man, the jack of all trades, who had a lot of knowledge and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
He is survived by his living wife of 52 years, Sharon; children, Carrie (Jeff) Bohm, Marshall IV; granddaughters, Jessica and Christina Bohm; sisters, Joan (Dave) Hanlon, Jane (George) Norcross, as well as many other family members and friends.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Brad.
