Oh Carl, how sad I am to be reading of Marlene’s passing. What a beautiful lady, she was one of the good ones. She was my friend, my teacher, and my mentor while working for Dr. Hassan. She took a chance on me at a low point in my life and gave me a job and help when I needed it. Of course life gets in the way and we lost touch, but she was always a special person to me. As a child I lived two houses away from Marlene and I remember seeing her many times in her white uniform, white nylons, and navy blue cape. I told her that when I grew up I wanted to be a nurse so I could wear white nylons just like her!!I guess you could say she was my first inspiration to be a nurse as I chose nursing as my career. Marlene was a friend to my family for many years. My deepest sympathy to Carl and family.
