Mark Francis Bachler's Obituary
Mark Francis Bachler, age 65, of East China, passed away unexpectedly on September 17, 2025. He was born April 8, 1960, to the late Joseph Jr. and Mary Bachler.
Mark was a graduate of Marine City High School, class of 1979, where he excelled in track. He was proud to be part of the 4x400 relay team, which held the school record for many years.
In 1992, Mark married Carrie Guiger. Carrie preceded him in death on August 1, 2016.
Mark was an avid Detroit sports fan, especially of the Lions and Tigers. He lived a simple life, mostly to himself, but his greatest joy was being with family. Above all, Mark loved his two daughters, Nicole and Kaley, deeply. He was an amazing and loving father, and his devotion to his girls was unwavering.
Mark also had a passion for music and dancing—he could often be found enjoying a good tune and moving to the rhythm. He will be remembered most for his enthusiasm, quick-witted spirit, and unwavering positivity. His presence brought joy to those around him, and his light-hearted nature will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his daughters, Kaley and Nicole Bachler; his brother, Scott (Eileen) Bachler; in-laws, Sam Polio and Donna Bachler; as well as several nieces and nephews and his beloved dog Annabel.
He is preceded in death by his siblings, Sue Polio, Joey Bachler III, and Michael Bachler.
