Mrs. Marjorie Louise Gillman's Obituary
Marjorie Louise Gillman, age 79, of China Twp., passed away Tuesday August 18, 2015. She died peacefully at home after a long illness. She was born October 11, 1935 in Port Huron to Floyd and Bernice Marks.
In her teens Marjorie played accordion and was an avid horseman, barrel racer, where she won many awards. She graduated from Port Huron High, going on to work for Bell Telephone, which she enjoyed. She married her beloved John Gillman on June 23, 1956. She co-owned Gillman Trucking with her husband. Marjorie was a faithful wife, who tenderly cared for her husband through his illness for many years. She was honest, sharp minded and never complained, refusing to speak badly of anyone. Marjorie loved talking with people and took great interest in them. She lived in Marine City for 58 years.
She is survived by her three children; John (Connie) Gillman, Steve (Traci) Gillman and Julie (Bob) Mason, six grandchildren; Joshua, Jeanne, Jared, Jaleb, Jordan and Tyler, five great grandchildren, sisters in law; Mary Gillman and Carol (Earl) Fortner and many special nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters; Shirley (Claire) Foltz, Jeannie (Bob) Reynolds and brother in law; Michael Gillman.

Funeral services will be Saturday August 22nd at 11:00 a.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp. Pastor David Bunyan will officiate. Interment will be in Holy Cross Cemetery, Marine City. Visiting hours are Friday 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Saturday 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to service. Marjorie’s grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
