Marion Winkler's Obituary
Marion Winkler, age 81, of St. Clair, passed away peacefully with her loving family at her side on November 20, 2025. She was born March 3, 1944 in Yale, Michigan to the late Lawrence and Nina Burton.
On October 23, 1961 Marion married Gary Winkler in Yale and they enjoyed 64 years of marriage. Marion was a waitress at the St. Clair Country Club for many years, where she garnered many friendships and was a favorite among the members.
As a dedicated homemaker family was first and foremost for Marion. Raising three children and later being able to enjoy six grandchildren and eventually two great granddaughters. The moments shared with her family was a gift everyone cherished.
Marion also looked forward to trips to the casino, golf outing vacations, and wintering in Florida. She and Gary were Moose Lodge members in Port Huron, where they would often meet up with old friends from Yale. They also were members of the Moose Lodge in Zephyrhills, Florida.
Marion is survived by her husband, Gary; children, Terri (Jeff) Bennett, Tom (Stephanie) Winkler and Tim (Michele) Winkler; grandchildren, Paige Bennett, Hannah (Joe) Hartwig, Ally Winkler, Luke Winkler, Reed Bennett and Derek Winkler; great granddaughters, Ellie and Luna Hartwig; sister in law, Marianne Shifflett; nieces and nephew; Lance (Renee) Stawecki, Bob (Laurie) Stawecki and Keri (Cole) Phillips along with many great nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by sister and brother in law, Marlene and Bob Stawecki, brother in law, Ron Winkler and nephew, Eric Winkler.
A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 25th from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Young Funeral Home, China Twp.
