Marion Evelyn Bochatyn-Clink's Obituary
Marion Evelyn Bochatyn-Clink, age 94, of St. Clair, passed away suddenly in the comfort of her own home on June 21, 2026. She was born on October 17, 1931 to the late Donald and Ruth Messer. Marion was a graduate of Hathaway Institute class of 1949. That same year she married Raymond Bochatyn on August 20th. Raymond preceded her in death on November 8, 1992. Later in life, Marion married David Clink on February 19. 2003, who preceded her in death on July 8, 2013. Marion worked as an expert seamstress for her whole life. She spent a majority of those years specializing on bridal gowns and furs. Her career turned into a handy hobby when she was able to sew, crochet, knit clothing for her children and grandchildren. Marion was an avid antique and doll collector who was one of the proud, founders of the Blue Water Doll Club, where she was a member for over 45 years. She was also a member of the Goodells Historical Society and a 4-H leader. Marion took great pride in caring for those closest to her. Her selflessness, generosity, love and compassionate nature will forever be remembered.
She is survived by her daughters, Ruth Ann “Ruby” (the late, Mike) Wuschack, Penny (Rob) Bushay, Terri (Bob) Christoff; grandchildren, David (Darcy) Woods, Peter (Lori) Woods, Amy (Mark) Bernacik, Rob (Amanda) Christoff, Jennifer (Mark) Green, Jessica (Rob) Bradley; 10 great grandchildren, as well as several other nieces, nephews, family members and friends.
She is preceded in death by her sons, Tony and Tim Bochatyn; siblings, Donna and Brian Messer.
A celebration of life will take place on Sunday, August 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at 1st Congressional Church, 36223 Alfred St. New Baltimore, MI, 48047.
